Register for the 2010 Monroe Idol Competition!!

Three talented people won cash awards at last year's Cheese Festival with the "Monroe Idol" contest.

A competition for vocalists will be held again this year. Each singer, or singing group, will perform one song and then a panel of judges will select the finalists.

After each finalist has performed, the judges will select a champion. That person will win $250 and be crowned the Monroe Idol. The runner-up will receive $150 and the entertainer in third place will get $100.

You must register at Village Hall before the day of the Cheese Festival in order to perform. The contest will begin at 4pm on that day.

The Monroe Idol is sponsored by the Monroe Police Benevolent Association
